Squash Blossoms

I’m back from vacation and that means semi-normal posting will resume. πŸ™‚ My fridge and freezer were empty when I got home, so it was time to go grocery shopping. Whole Foods had organic cherries on sale so I got a bunch and stocked up. I got to use my cherry pitter I bought awhile ago…usually I forget I even have it.

De-steming and pitting cherries x100:

Frozen in a bag for chocolate-cherry smoothies and snacking. πŸ˜‰

Lunch was a salad beast: mixed greens from my CSA share, grape tomatoes, broiled salmon, grilled asparagus, goat cheese, and pan-fried squash blossoms also from my CSA share.

Time to eat some raw mango cheesecake. πŸ™‚ See you later!

That salad looks absolutely delightful! I’m allergic to seafood, but I think grilled tofu would be a good topper as well πŸ™‚
    Raw mango cheesecake?! Yes, please!!!

  2. I’ve never tried squash blossoms, but I’ve got plenty of them in my garden now…. hmmmm. πŸ™‚

  4. Your de-stemming/pitting tool thinger is AWESOME. I did not even know those existed. (Yeah I know. What can I say? I live in the sticks.)

I just finished my second year of nursing school pre-reqs. I’m not 100% sure I’m going to stay on the nursing path though…part of me was relieved when I got rejected from nursing school so that can’t possibly be a good sign can it? I’m applying everywhere undecided. As a sophomore. haha. πŸ™‚
