Eating Raw

I’ve really been getting back into eating a lot more raw foods – I tend to crave them now. I still love a nice hot soup, or bowl of oatmeal, but there’s something comforting about a huge salad or a raw wrap.

Spirallized zucchini with a non-raw tomato sauce, Garlic Gold and shredded cheese, with a shot glass of broccoli soup.

Raw carob halvah balls from Raw Energy. I borrowed this book from the library and am going to get myself a copy! I love all the raw snack ideas it has.

Raw parfait with buckwheat granola, lemon cashew pudding, bananas, and blueberries.

Raw chia pudding! (Recipe below)

Homemade raw kombucha! I love this.

New ingredients! Navitas Naturals Lucuma Powder.

Chocolate Chia Pudding
serves 1

  • 1 T. chia seeds
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 t. vanilla extract
  • 1 T. cacao powder, carob powder, chocolate protein powder, or Vega chocolate Shake & Go Smoothie mix
  • 1 T. cacao nibs

Combine the water, chia seeds, and vanilla extract in a small bowl or jar and set in the refrigerator overnight. When ready to eat stir in the cacao powder and nibs and feast!

What are some of your favorite things you’ve been enjoying?

I also can’t get enough of the Pure2Raw twins’ raw kraut with tahini dressing. I’ve got a big batch fermenting as we speak. I got a food processor (full-sized!) and it was so fast to make. 🙂
